Chelsey -- #45 -- ready to serve and to hit the ball. Also, a photo of my parents who came for Halloween and to see Chelsey's game.
She is just finishing up volleyball with North of the River recreation. She loves it. Now she wants to play with that US volleyball league. Does anyone know anything about that group?
Relief Society crafts have certainly gotten better over the years! These individual wooden blocks that spell out FAMILY are the bomb. They are vinyl letters that you rub on! Judy Austin said that if you squint and look at the blocks just right, you can convince yourself that you hand-painted them!
The YW's presidency was curiously absent last night. We missed you three girl friends.
It was Amy's birthday, but I won! I guessed the closest time to Amy's birth and won prizes! Ah, it's good to have friends with birthdays! I tried to get my grandson to hold the prizes...he wasn't too interested (just wait).

What a great-looking bunch of boys gone wild! It was a great outing, and we even got to get inside where the reporters were quietly working on deadline seated in front of their computer (nothing like reporters of old!).
We were all pretty sleepy this morning, having returned the night before from Salt Lake City. But somehow we got to school on time. The kids had already missed 2 days of school due to our vacation, but on our way into town we had stopped at the school to check out which teachers they were to have. They had a great first day, loved their teachers, and found their friends after a long summer.
I was born and raised in Santa Barbara, CA. It is a lovely and beautiful place to live, until you discover that you will never be able to buy a house there, which is what led Rick and I to become serial movers. It's been an adventure!
